We are thrilled to announce that Park Pride has awarded the Friends of Needham Park a matching sum of $1500 from its Small Change Grant Program, funded by the Home Depot Foundation!

During our Visioning Process, 85% of survey respondents indicated that they would be “more likely to visit the park” if there were “benches, tables, or places to sit”; and 50% of respondents lamented that “there’s nowhere to sit”. So let’s do something about it!

Based upon the community Vision Plan, the Friends plan to use the funds from this grant to obtain and facilitate installation of the park’s first bench, picnic table, and trash can! Be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities in the coming months to help us achieve this goal.
